Heavy Duty Rotary Airlocks for the dust collection industry!
Our HD Airlock is a fabricated, flexible tip rotary airlock, built to outlast all other airlocks. The unit offers the tightest flexible seal, allowing larger particles to easily pass through the valve while maintaining the air seal.
Typical applications include paper, wood products, animal feed and other agricultural products. The HD, flexible tip airlock also performs well in abrasive applications. Utilizing a HD Airlock on a dust collection system allows for constant operation
without the need to shut down and empty containers. It minimizes employee exposure to dust and makes thesSystem less susceptible to material back-up and filter damage.

• 1/4” Styrene-Butadiene Rubber (SBR) Wipers
• Temperature range for the standard wipers is -20°F to 170°F
• 8 vane removable rotor
• Roller chain and sprocket drive including a heavy-duty gear reducer

Jet aircraft turbines- how do they handle water (rain)?
I undestand that they operate on the principle of compression- the vanes compress air, fuel is injected and ignited = boom. My question is this- water is incompressible, so how does a heavy rain affect a jet engine?
Answer:
Water doesn't hurt them at all. Many older jet engines used water injection to boost takeoff power. The J-57 engine used on both the KC-135A and B-52s up through the D model were excellent examples.
Although water is incompressible, jets use a series of fans to compress the air, not a sealed cylinder and piston. The water just flows through the engine harmlessly and actually improves performance a bit in some cases.
