Fishing Sunglasses: Serve You Much In Underwater’s Sight
Great catch could be lost if you don't wear fishing sunglasses. With the naked eye the water glare drastically reduces visibility: you won't see the underwater structures or the fish. Moreover, without fishing sunglasses it will become almost impossible to watch the water surface; eye strain leads to weariness, not to mention that there is also the risk of getting more serious eye damage.
Fishing sunglasses provide the glare elimination and good blockage of the harmful ultraviolet rays. Many fishermen prefer buying sunglasses for all conditions, meaning that no matter the weather, vision will not be impaired. Fishing sunglasses can also be rated according to the materials of which the lenses are made.
Glass is a good lens material because of durability and visual acuity, but it is considered too heavy by many users. The most popular lens choice is polycarbonate that makes the fishing sunglasses lightweight and resistant to impact, although rather prone to scratch if compared to glass resistance. Acrylic lenses make one other possible choice, although not a very good one, because despite the quality anti-glare properties the material can distort vision. As for lens color, fishing sunglasses are available in copper, brown, amber and gray.
There is no color distortion with gray lenses, and the light absorption rate is high. These fishing sunglasses go great for open water fishing on bright sunny days. Copper fishing sunglasses have a soothing impact on the eyes, and if you need higher sighting abilities, then, this is the perfect lens color for fishing sunglasses. Brown works great for all circumstances too because of the great contrast and the real color perception. For bright sunshine or clouded days, for lakes or streams, brown lenses will serve the fisherman well.
As for amber lenses, this kind of fishing sunglasses are effective on cloudy days or when the light conditions are low at dawn and at dusk. Then, besides the lens color, you should also be careful with the anti-glare properties because the polarized coating is the only protection against reflected light. Plus, without polarized lenses, flat or bonefish will be impossible to catch. Last but not least, good sunglasses act as a barrier against insects, wind and dust, which can diminish the comfort and even injure the eyes.
