Hydrogen For Cars - Fuel For Cars Now And In The Future
With rising gas prices seeming like a fact of life, many people are looking for alternatives to power their cars and other vehicles rahter than using traditionally fossil based fuels. Indeed, highly funded organizations like the energy commission are looking into possibilities, as are the average person in the street that look at hydrogen conversion kits for vehicles to install in their cars.
Hydrogen fuel cells seem to offer a real alternative to gasoline as we go forward. Hydrogen for cars presents the prospect of developing new energy resource for vehicles and much more, but it will also improve how we travel overall.
Here are a few of the advantages of using hydrogen gas to power a car. Hydrogen is found in great abundance. It can be found in the base elements like water but in many things you may not think about in the home, like the compost heap in your garden. Thus it has massive potential and is an attractive resource to consider.
Another advantage is that hydrogen fuel for cars is far more efficient and cleaner to produce than fossil fuel. Typically, to refine and produce gasoline, a refinery would use around three hundred billion gallons of water, which is in itself becoming a cause for concern given that water is a valuable and not exactly renewable resource. The identical quantity of hydrogen would need only 1 million gallons of water, which is a considerable saving that is hard to ignore.
Hydrogen gas would be cheaper to procude and offer potentially two thirds more in terms of efficiency. Hydrogen fuel reduces engine runnning temperatures which can also eliminate emissions and minimize the carbon footprint that is put out.
Certainly, hydrogen fueled cars have not been produced on any scale because of the lack of hydrogen fuel. Or to be more accurate, the infrastructure to supply hydrogen fuel to the general public. Possibly in the future refueling of hydrogen at home could happen, but at the present time it is out of reach of the average car owner.
If vehicles were to run only on electricity that was created via an on board hydrogen fuel cell then it would liberate many of the next generation car designers. Car design would be freed up to some extent as the need to control a large combustion engine and the problems that go with it would be reduced.
For example, the engine needed to move the car could be smaller. Some such limitations involve having to account for a heat-producing engine, as well as bulky floorboard configurations which are required for drive line equipment currently.
With governments creating policy and many big corporations in industry investing large sums of money into hydrogen generation as a fuel, the car manufacturing industry will change markedly. Hydrogen will be more availalbe to the average car owner in the near future as the infrastructure to deliver it is developed.
Clean, cost effective fuel for our cars that is not only great for the environment but great for our wallets too. With gas prices continuing to rise and not seeming to return to lower level ever again, the need to develop hydrogen for cars will continue to gain more support until you see a hydrogen filling station on every corner of the street as you see a gas station today.

no power is going to my hard drive when the ide cables are plugged in?
No power is going to my ide hard drive. I thought it was a problem with the power supply but even after i changed it the problem still remained. The funny thing is when the ide data cable is unplugged the hard drive powers up but it doesn't when its plugged in.
Answer:
Make sure the ide cable is plugged in with pin 1 (the colored side of the cable-usually red or blue) closest to the power plug.
Also, make sure you have no bent pins on the drive or the motherboard socket.
