How long can my water stay hot in vacuum bottle?
Thoes cheap bottles. Not really good ones. How long do you think my water would stay hot in them? Should i fill it to the very top :O ?
I needa pack some water to cook my instant oatmeal in school for lunch tommorrow. Do you think my hot water (70 degree) would stay hot for 7-8 hours?
Answer:
Fill the vacuum bottle with hot water. Bring your water to a boil. Dump out the hot water and pour in the boiling water. Pre heating the bottle will help the water to remain hot longer.
Do all this the last possible moment before you leave. You can put the hot water in as soon as you get up in the morning go get dressed then boil the water. Dump the hot water and fill with the boiling water just before you leave.
The hot water should still be hot enough to make your oatmeal.
Oh, by the way fill it as full as you can, the more hot water in contact with the bottle the less chance for the bottle to have cool areas.
